  • Core B - 2024

    Description: Licensees intending to renew their license on an active status by the November 30 (even-numbered years) renewal deadline must complete 20 hours of approved continuing education courses during the biennium. The required continuing education hours include six hours for the Hawaii Real Estate Commission (Commission)-designated core courses and 14 hours of elective credit hours. The core course is divided into two parts (Part A and Part B). Each part is further divided into two sections. The first section covers the legal updates for the current year, and the second covers one or more topics of current interest or importance to real estate licensees as determined by the Commission. This year’s Part B is entitled: Regulation, RICO, and Your License. Both parts may be taken either live in a classroom setting or online.   • Art of Marketing a Listing

    Description: This course delves into the specific building blocks of real estate listing and introduces concepts of a robust marketing campaign by analyzing target audiences and methods of client communication, pre-list preparation and planning, online and offline marketing channels, refining visual content, and measuring a campaign's effectiveness. These unit topics provide practical application of skills outside of the minimum standards of listing a property to develop an agent’s marketing skill set. 

  • Basics of Condo Governance, Owner’s Rights, Dispute Resolution & Document Production

This is not a property management course, but rather a valuable resource for enhancing a licensee's expertise in condominium matters.

  • Understanding Condominium Financial Information

    This course provides a comprehensive overview of the financial documents issued by condominium associations, equipping licensees with a thorough understanding of their significance. It includes an in-depth discussion of reserve studies, current legal requirements, and their implications for condominiums. Additionally, the course covers other essential financial documents, such as insurance policies, to ensure a well-rounded grasp of the subject.

  • Understanding CAP Rates

    The Understanding CAP Rates course is a specialized program designed to equip real estate professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively use capitalization rates (CAP rates) in evaluating real estate investments. Through this course, participants will learn how to calculate CAP rates, understand their significance, and apply them to various property types under different market conditions. By the end of the course, attendees will be capable of making informed investment decisions using CAP rates as a critical tool for assessing property profitability and risk.

  • Strategies of Negotiation
